Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using CallDesk (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using our service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use CallDesk.
1. About CallDesk
CallDesk is a voicemail-to-text service that transcribes voicemail messages and delivers them to you via SMS, WhatsApp, or email. The service is operated from Ireland and is intended for use by Irish businesses and tradespeople.

2. Eligibility
To use CallDesk you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be using the service for lawful business purposes
- Have an active Irish mobile number capable of receiving SMS messages
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
CallDesk is not intended for personal, household, or consumer use. By signing up you confirm that you are acting in a business capacity.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@calldesk.ie if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently, unlawfully, or in breach of these Terms.
4. Free Trial
New customers receive a 7-day free trial upon completing subscription setup. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial and you will not be charged.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial offer at any time for new sign-ups. Existing trials will not be affected.
5. Subscription and Billing
5.1 Pricing
CallDesk is offered at €18.99 per month (inclusive of VAT where applicable). Pricing is subject to change with at least 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers.
5.2 Billing cycle
Your subscription renews automatically each month on the date you first subscribed. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
5.3 Failed payments
If a payment fails we will notify you by SMS and email. We will retry the payment up to three times over several days. If payment cannot be collected your account will be suspended until the outstanding balance is resolved.
5.4 Refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by Irish consumer law or where we are unable to provide the service due to our own fault. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us at support@calldesk.ie.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to CallDesk until that date and will not be charged again. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial months.
We may cancel or suspend your account immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the service in a way that causes harm to others.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use CallDesk to:
- Record or transcribe calls or voicemails without the caller’s knowledge where required by law
- Intercept communications you are not authorised to receive
- Send unsolicited or spam messages using the auto-reply feature
- Engage in any activity that is unlawful under Irish or EU law
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
- Use the service on behalf of a third party without their consent
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of CallDesk, including the collection and storage of caller data, complies with GDPR and any other applicable data protection laws.
8. Call Recording and Transcription
CallDesk records voicemail messages left on your dedicated number. By using the service you confirm that:
- You have a legitimate business reason for capturing voicemail messages
- You will handle any personal data contained in transcripts in accordance with GDPR
- You will not use transcripts to harass, discriminate against, or harm callers
Audio recordings are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers immediately after transcription. Only the text transcript is retained.
9. Intellectual Property
All software, designs, trademarks, and content that form part of the CallDesk service are owned by or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own business purposes during your active subscription.
You retain ownership of your voicemail transcript data. By using the service you grant us a limited licence to process and store that data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
10. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service depends on third-party providers (including Twilio, OpenAI, and Stripe) and may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or circumstances beyond our control.
We will endeavour to notify you of planned maintenance in advance and to resolve unplanned outages as quickly as possible. Temporary unavailability does not entitle you to a refund.
11. Transcription Accuracy
While we use high-quality AI transcription technology, transcripts may contain errors, particularly for unusual names, technical terms, or poor-quality audio. You should not rely solely on a transcript for critical decisions and should listen to the original recording where accuracy is essential.
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from errors in transcription.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, CallDesk shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage
- Loss of business, revenue, profits, or data
- Any loss arising from your reliance on a voicemail transcript
- Any failure or delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control
Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to us in that period.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold CallDesk harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third party’s rights.
14. Privacy
Your use of CallDesk is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the service you consent to the data practices described in that policy.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of CallDesk after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
